Age Limit : Minimum 19 years and maximum 24 years (as on 01/11/2007) for Category I, and minimum 18 years and maximum 22 years (as on 01/11/2007) for Category II. Relaxation of five years in age is admissible to SC/ST and three years to OBC candidates.
Physical Standards : Minimum Height : 160 cms. , Minimum weight : 45.5 Kgs (Relaxable if the candidate is otherwise medically fit.)
Total Duration of Training Period : One year for Category I, and two years for Category II.
Stipend During Training : Rs. 6500/- p.m. for Category I, and Rs. 4000/- p.m for 1styear and Rs.5000/- p.m for 2nd year for Category II. Upon successful completion of training, the trainees will be considered for absorption in one of the following grades depending on their performance during the period of training and interview to be held at the end of the training. Based on the performance during training additional increments may be given on appointment
- Category - I : Scientific Assistant/B in Pay Scale Rs. 5500-175-9000/-
- Category - II : Tradesman/D in the Pay Scale : Rs. 4500-125-7000/-
- Category - II : Tradesman/C in the Pay Scale : Rs. 4000-100-6000/-
- Category - II : Tradesman/B in the Pay Scale : Rs. 3200-85-4900/-

How to Apply : Completed applications in the prescribed proforma should be sent to the Deputy Establishment Officer (R-I), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, Mumbai-400085 so as to reach not later than 10/08/2007. The Application and the outer cover should be superscribed as “Application for the post of Category I or Category II or against Direct Recruitment without training ________ Post No._________ and discipline/trade ________ against Advertisement No.1/2007-R-I”. Candidates applying for New BARC Campus, Vizag and BARC, Mumbai, Tarapur, Kalpakkam, Mysore etc. has to give the preference of posting. However, the posting will be at the discretion of the Competent Authority and are likely to be posted at BARC, Mumbai, Tarapur, Mysore, Kalpakkam, Vizag etc. but are liable to serve in any part of India and in any constituent units of the Department of Atomic Energy.
