Applications are invited from the citizen of India as defined under Article 5 and 6 of the Constitution of India for filling up the following vacant posts of Junior Administrative Assistants in the Principal Seat of Gauhati High Court, Guwahati in the scale of payof Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay – 3000 (PB – 2)/- P.M. plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.

5. | Eligibility criteria | The candidate should be a Graduate from a recognized University having knowledge of working on computers.

6. | Age limit | Not less than 18 years and more than 38 years of age as on 31.08.2011. The upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC and ST category.

7. | Examination fees | Treasury Challan of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred) only [Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty) in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST] to be deposited under the Head of Accounts “0070-Other Administrative Services-60- Other Services-800-Other receipts (Examination Fee)”

8. | Selection Procedure | The Selection shall consist of: - a Written Screening examination of 200 marks consisting of objective type questions with multiple choices having negative marking for wrong answers. The test will be conducted for English language, General Knowledge and General Aptitude.
- a Subjective type Test of 100 marks in English Language.
- an interview of 50 marks.
To qualify for the Subjective type test a candidate must secure 60% or above marks in the Screening examination. Candidates appearing in the Subjective Type test should secure 60% or above marks to qualify for the Interview. However, the qualifying marks for the Interview may be relaxed depending upon the number of candidates available.

The number of vacancies shown above is purely tentative and may vary at the time of actual recruitment.
Reservation of vacancies for different categories of candidates shall be as per Rules. Applications should be submitted in the prescribed format of application furnished below. The candidates should super scribe “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT” at the top of the envelope containing the application form.
Applications submitted in other than the prescribed format and applications without the signature of the Candidate will not be entertained and will be summarily rejected.
The candidates should enclose only the following with the filled -in application forms:
1. Duly signed 2 (Two) copies of passport size photographs (one firmly pasted & other stapled) with their names clearly written in the back of the photographs in capitals.
2. Treasury Challan in Original.
3. Copy of Caste Certificate in respect of SC & ST candidates claiming concession on Apllication Fees.
4. No Objection Certificate in case of Govt./Semi-Govt. Employees
The candidates must not submitany extra/ additional testimonials/ certificates other than mentioned above.
Applications received after the last date will not be entertained under any circumstances. Candidates already in Government services should apply through proper channel.
Candidates will have to appear in written test and interview at the time and place to be notified later on. No T.A., D.A. will be paid for appearing in the written test/ interview.
