Applications in the prescribed proforma are invited from the persons of Indian Nationality for the following posts :

• Scientist 'C' : 1 Post, Pay Scale : Rs.10,000-325-15,200/-, Qualification : M Sc in Botany or Geology with not less than 65% marks or recognised equivalent qualification with not less than 65% marks. Seven years research experience in Micropalaeontology with emphasis on Calcareous/ Organic walled Microfossils/ Ph D in relevant discipline with four years post-doctoral research experience in any of the above Microfossil groups.
• Scientist 'C' : 1 Post, Pay Scale : Rs. 10,000-325-15,200/- Qualification : M Sc in Geology with not less than 65% marks or recognised equivalent qualification with not less than 65% marks. Seven years research experience in Sedimentology, Clay Mineralogy, Mineral Magnetism or related Earth Science disciplines/ Ph D in relevant discipline with four years post-doctoral research experience in any of the above fields.
• Scientist 'B' : 8 Posts, (UR-5,OBC-3), Pay Scale : Rs.8000-275-13500/-, Qualification : M.Sc. in Botany or Geology with not less than 65% marks or recognized equivalent qualification with not less than 65% marks. Three years research experience in Palaeobotany including Palynology (Precambrian Palaeobiology / Gondwana Megafossils & Palynology / Cenozoic Megafossils & Palynology / Quaternary Palynology / Marine Micropalaeobotany / Organic Petrology / Hydrocarbon Exploration).

Age : Scientist 'C' - 40 years and Scientist ‘B’ – 35 years.
