CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FOR AROUND 100 JUNIOR MANAGERS (PROJECTS).
SAIL invites applications for the post of Junior Manager(Projects) from young and result-oriented engineers with experience in the areas of mechanical, electrical and civil engineering. The compensation package on cost to company basis would be around Rs.4 lakh per annum. The posts are in E-1 Grade and Scale of Pay of Rs.10,750 -4%- 16,750/- with other allowances and benefits applicable to the grade. Salary revision is due from January, 2007.
Qualification : B.Tech/ B.E./ B.Sc(Engg.) Degree (full time) in any of the following engineering disciplines from recognised university/institute : Mechanical / Electrical /Civil
Age : Born not earlier than August 1, 1975 (Upper age limit of 32 years is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates and by 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates). Those domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir from 1/1/80 to 31/12/89 will be allowed 5 years relaxation in upper age limit.
Selection Process : Eligible candidates will be required to appear for objective type written examination in September/October, 2007 at Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata and interview after they pass written exam. In the written test, there will be negative marking for wrong answers, i.e. 1/4th of the allotted marks for the question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Application Fee : Demand Draft (DD) for Rs. 500/- as examination fee for General and OBC candidates or Demand Draft (DD) for Rs. 150/- as processing fee for SC/ST&PH candidates should be drawn in favour of "STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA LIMITED" payable at State Bank of India, Service Branch (Code No. 7687), New Delhi.
How To Apply : Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply online only through SAIL’s website. While applying online, candidate should have the E-mail ID readily available. The online registration site would be open from August 14, 2007 to September 4, 2007. All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail only. After applying online, candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details with space for passport size photograph & signature. The Original Registration Slip, Demand Draft with the name of the candidate duly written on the back of DD and a self-attested copy of Caste/Physically Handicapped certificate is to be sent, by ORDINARY POST to Steel Authority of India Limited, Post Bag No. 10, Lodi Road Post Office, New Delhi -110003, so as to reach latest by September 12, 2007.
