The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (K.V.S.) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. K.V.S. intends to recruit Officers and Non-Teaching Staff for its Head Office/ Regional Offices situated in 18 cities/ schools spread all over India. Applications are invited in the prescribed format (as per annexure enclosed) from Indian Nationals for Special Recruitment Drive to fill up backlog reserved vacancies for SCs and STs and also for vacancies for the above posts in KVS for the current year 2006-2007 and for drawing a panel of candidates. The details of the posts and eligibility criteria etc. are given below:

1. ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER : 04 posts
   • Pay Scale : Rs. 12000-375-16500
   • Age limit : 50 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification :
     1. At least a second class Master’s Degree.
     2. Degree in Education or equivalent qualification.
     3. 05 years of regular service as Principal/ Education Officer or equivalent posts in the scale of pay of Rs.10000-15200 under the Central/ State Government and autonomous organisations.
     
2. EDUCATION OFFICER : 03 posts
   • Pay Scale : Rs. 10000-15200
   • Age Limit : 45 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification :

     i) Master’s Degree from recognised University with at least 55% marks.
     ii) B.Ed.
     

3. PRINCIPAL : 20 posts
   • Pay Scale : Rs. 10000-152000
   • Lower & Upper Age Limit : 35-50 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification :

     i) Master’s Degree from recognised University with at-least 45% marks in aggregate.
     ii) B.Ed. or equivalent teaching degree.
     

4. AUDIT AND ACCOUNTS OFFICER : 02 posts
   • Pay Scale : Rs. 7450-225-11500
   • Age limit : 35 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification:
     i) B.Com with 50% marks and atleast 4 years experience as Accounts Officer/Audit Officer in Central/ State Govt./ Autonomous bodies/ Public Undertakings.
     OR
     M.Com with 50% marks and atleast 3 years experience as Audit Officer in Central/ State Govt./ Autonomous bodies/ Public Undertakings in the pay scale of Rs.6500-10500.
     OR
     CA (Inter) or ICWA (Inter) or MBA with 2 years experience.
     ii) Knowledge of Computer operations/ applications.
5. HINDI TRANSLATOR : 06 posts
   • Pay Scale : Rs. 4500-7000
   • Age limit : 28 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification:
     Master’s Degree of a recognized Univeristy in Hindi/ English, with Hindi / English as main subjects at Degree level.
     
6. JUNIOR STENO (GRADE-III) : 18 posts
   • Pay Scale : Rs. 4000-6000
   • Age limit : 27 yrs as on 01/12/06
   • Qualification :

     (i) Matric or equivalent.
     (ii) Speed in Hindi / English Shorthand 80 w.p.m and Typing Speed 40 w.p.m
     (iii) Knowledge of Computer.

7. UPPER DIVISION CLERK : 17 posts
• Pay Scale : Rs. 4000-6000
• Age limit : 30 yrs as on 01/12/06
• Qualification : (i) Class XII (ii) Knowledge of Computer Operation.
8. LOWER DIVISION CLERK : 144 posts
• Pay Scale : Rs. 3050-4590
• Age limit : 18-27 yrs as on 01/12/06
• Qualification : (i) Class XII (ii) Knowledge of Computer Operation.
9. STAFF CAR DRIVER : 02 posts
• Pay Scale : Rs. 3050-4590
• Age limit : 30 yrs as on 01/12/06
• Qualification : (i) Passed 8th standard.
  (ii) Must possess a qualifying licence for driving Cars and/ or vehicles with at-least three years driving experience. Knowledge of the working of an automobile minor repair.

Applications are invited from unmarried male and female indian citizens for Short Service Commission in the Naval Architecture Cadre of the Indian Navy for Course commencing Aug 2007 at Naval Academy (NAVAC), INS Zamorin, ezhimala, Kerala.

Eligibility Conditions:

Age : Between 21 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 aug 1982 to 01 aug 1986; both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications : BE / B.Tech. (or equivalent) from an AICTE recognised institute with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in any of the following

(i) Naval Architecture (ii) Mechanical (iii) Aeronautical (iv) Civil (v) Metallurgy

Physical Standards : Hight and Wieght : Minimum height - 157 cms for men and 152 cms for women with correlated weight.

SSC : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.
