The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) is a registered society as an autonomous Institute

Applications are invited from young talented qualified persons for the following posts at the Institute.

• Hindi Translator : 1 post , Age : 30 years or below as on 01/01/2007, Scale Rs.5500-175-9000, Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Hindi/Sanskrit with English as one of the subject. Adequate experience in translating scientific & administrative reports in Hindi. Knowledge of computers, using Akshar/Leap office., Desirable: Masters degree in Hindi/English with Diploma in translation from Hindi to English & vice-versa preferred.
• Research Associate : 5 posts - 4 posts for IITM & 1 for Sponsored Project , Age : 35 years or below as on 1.1.2007 . Stipend Rs.11,000/- plus HRA, Qualification: Doctorate degree of a recognized university in Meteorology, Atmospheric sciences, Oceanography, Physics, Applied Physics, Mathematics,
  Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Geophysics with Meteorology as subject. Well acquainted with WINDOWS XP, LINUX, FORTRAN
