Applications are invited by the Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi-110029 from Indian Citizens for the temporary post of following Group ‘A’ & ‘C’ posts in the prescribed format of application given below. The eligibility shall be determined as on the last date for receipt of application i.e. 30/07/2007:

  • Scientist-I (Rs.8000-275-13500) (for the Department of Transplant Immunology & Immunogenetics) : 02 posts, Qualification : M.Sc. 1st Class in Immunology / Genetic / Biotechnology or any other Life Sciences. Preference will be given to those possessing Ph.D.
  • Laboratory Technician (Rs.4500-125-7000) : 18 posts, Qualification : Degree in Science from recognized University. OR (i) 12th class pass with sciences subject (in 10+2 system) or intermediate (Science) or equivalent from a recognized University/Institution; (ii) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Techniques from a recognized Institute and (iii) One year experience in a Medical Laboratory
  • Stenographer (Rs.4000-100-6000) : 10 posts, Qualification : (i) Matriculation or equivalent; (ii) A speed of 80 w.p.m. in Stenography (English/Hindi)
  • Lower Division Clerk (Rs.3050-4590) : 31 posts, Qualification : Matriculation or equivalent qualification from a recognised Board of University; (ii) A typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi.
  • Mechanic (AC & Refg.) (Rs.3050-4590) :01 post

Fee : The application fee for Gen. and OBC Candidate will be Rs.500/- and that for SC/ST category will be Rs.100/- by demand draft only, in favour of Director, AIIMS only for the post of Scientist-I.

    • Period of Probation will of 2 years
  • Private Secretaries : 20 posts (SC-06, ST-03, OBC-11)
    • Qualification : (i) Degree of a recognised university (ii) A speed of 120 wpm in English shorthand (iii) working knowledge of computer with ability to operate upon the software like MS Office etc. (iv) Age not exceeding 35 years (relaxation as per Govt. rules) as on last date of submission of application.
    • Mode of Selection - Written test of 100 marks (objective type of 2 hrs duration comprise of GK - 50 marks, English-50 marks), Skill Test (Stenography Test) of 100 marks
    • Period of Probation will of 2 years

Desirable : Knowledge of Wireless or Radio Engineering

Age : 18-27 years as on 10/08/2007. Age relaxation as per Govt. orders.

Selection Procedure : The recruitment will be made on the basis of written test of two hour duration on 28/10/2007 at 11.00 AM at different centres in India. The written test will consist of one paper having 175 objective type questions based on the syllabus of 3 years Diploma courses/B.Sc.(Physics) and 25 questions on GK and Current Affairs. negative marking for wrong answer.

How to Apply : Applications should be submitted in the prescribed OMR Application Forms, which can be procured from the office of Director/Station Engineer/Superintending Engineer of the All India Radio/Doordarshan Kendra in the states from 10/07/2007 to 10/08/2007 on any working day The envelope of request letter should be superscribed with 'Recruitment of Engineering Assistants-2007'. The request letter for application form should be in candidate's own handwriting indiacating the address for delivery in capital letters. SC/ST candidates are required to submit orignal/attested photocopy of cast certificate for purchase of application form at concessional rate of Rs.25/-. The candidates should also enclose a crossed DD/IPO of Rs.100/- for General/OBCin favour of "Prasar Bharati (BCI)" payable at New Delhi and a self-addressed envelope of size 14"x10" with postal stamp of Rs.22/- duly affixed on it. Candidates have to select one of the Zones for appointment and indicate the same in the applicatio form. The candidate can opt for an Examination Centre neares to his normal place of residence and not necessarily in the Zone opted for. A recent passport size colour photographs should be pasted on the application form.

Eligibility Conditions:

Age : Between 19 & 1/2 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 Feb 1983 to 01 Aug 1988; both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications :
B.E/ B.Tech. (or equivalent) from a institution recognised by AICTE with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Calculation for aggregate percentage should be based on total marks obtained in all the semesters (including I & II) divided by total number of semesters in any of the following disciplines: (those appearing in the final years exams need not apply)

Physical Standards : Hight and Wieght : Minimum height Male - 157 cms with correlated weight. Eye Sight : The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision, 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.

SSC : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.
