Program Management Unit for Passport Seva Project

The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India is about to start the the implementation of the Passport Seva Project, a Mission Mode Project of Government of India. The Passport Seva Project aims at providing all the Passport-related services to the citizens in a speedy, convinient and transparent manner.

MEA wants to establish a Program Management Unit (PMU) to assist in the implementation of the Passport Seva Project.

MEA invites applications from interested condidates for the following positions at PMU :

Professional Social Workers are urgently required with 2-5 years exeprience in community work, preferably one year experience in supervising rehabilitation & resettlement work of Engineering Projects.

THDC is executing amonth other the Vishnugad Pipalkoti hydro Electric Projects located in District Chamoli of Uttarakhand State. Professional Social Workers are required to work as an interface between the Community & THDC and also to supervise the Rehabilitation & Resettlement work of the Project affected families. R&R activities shall include varification excercise of PAFs identified and supervision of the programme to be implemented. The incumbent(s) have to be qualified Social Workers having Master Degree in Social Work/Social Sciences (2 years), preferably possesses prior experience in handling R&R programmes of Project Affected Families at Project Site.

The persons selected will be engaged for a period of two years purely on contract basis. Persons selected will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs.25000-30000/- per month (plus Accomodation, Medical Benefits & Leaves) depending on his/her experience and overall suitability.

Among the candidates with 2-5 years experience in community development work, preference will be given to applicants with at least one year experience of working as Social/Resettlement expert for major Civil Engineering project.
