   • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Naval Architechture/ Marine/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Tele-communications and Electronics/ Design/ Production/ Aeronautical/ Control Engineering or equivalent qualificiaiton by institute recognised by AIIE or Marine Engeering graduates of IMET, Kolkata (ii) Certificate of Competency as 1st class Engineer of Motorship or other similiar certificates from Min. of surface Transport, Govt. of India (iii) Certificate of final exam of the college of Marine engineering under the Department of surface transport, Govt. of India (iv) have passed section 'A' & 'B' of Institute of Engineers examination in the listed disciplines above.
   • Age : Born between 01 July 78 and 30 june 87

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years of OBC candidates.

Last date of receipt of Applications is 10th Novemner, 2007. (For far-flung areas, the last date is 12/11/2007)

Preliminary Selection Board (PSB) and Final Selection Board (FSB) will be conducted at Coast Guard Selection Board, Sector-24, Noida (UP) in last week of Nov 07 and first week of Dec 07 respectively.

Qualification, Pay Scales :

• Post No. 7 : Pay Scale Rs.16400-22400/-, Qualification : master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks of equivalent grade with good academic record. At least 10 years experience in Library Science, out of which at least 5 years should be as Dy Librarian / equivalent in an institution of repute.
• Post No 8 : Pay Scale - Rs.8000-13500/-, Qualification : Master of Library Science (M. Lib) with at least 55% marks or its equivalent . NET shall be the compulsory requirement in for appointment for those applicants with post graduate degree. However, candidates having Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET.
