In the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Management Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bio-engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities & Social Sciences. In HSS the major areas for recruitment are English, Philosophy, Economics, Sociology, and Psychology. Appointment of Lecturer is temporary and will be made on contract for a period not exceeding 5 years.
Several departments participate in teaching and research activities of interdisciplinary post-graduate programmes in the Institute in Materials Science, Laser Technology, Nuclear Engineering and Technology, Business Administration and Environmental Engineering and Management. Appointments for these programmes are made in the relevant departments among those listed above.
Qualifications (for all positions): Ph.D., with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record throughout.
Assistant Professor: At least 3 years teaching/research/industrial experience.
